MASTERTON NOTES

Twenty-five births, eleven deaths, and seven marriages were registered in Masterton during the, month oi September. At the annual meeting of the Masterton Permanent Investment and Building Society, Messrs. J. C. Bpddineton and B G Eton were re-elected'directors. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the report, stated that the profits of the society, which had been established for forty years, had never dropped below / per cent., -excepting on two occasions.
