REGISTERS OF RESERVISTS

NEW ' REGULATIONS. .. ■ Tno Goverfament has revoked the regulations as.-to.registers of .reservists under the Military Service Act, and has gazetted new regulations, which read;— 1. There shall be a register of the First Division of the Expeditionary Force Reserve, and a register of each class of (lie Second 'Division of -Hint repcrve. as constituted by the aforesaid Orders-in-C'ouncil of July i, 1917, and September 3, 1917; 2. Each register shall be kept in accordance with' the card system, the cards to be arranged in the alphabetical order of tho surnames of tho reservists, and to be kept in cabinets containing such number of boxes as the Government Statistician from time to time -thinks necessary. Tho boxes shall be nv.moered consecutively. ' 1 ■ •_ 3. The cards-shall consist of the original personal schedules furnished by the reservists under the National Registration Act, 1915. In cases where no such personal schedule has been furnished the cards shall consist of the original enrolment cards furnished by'applicants for enrolment under th? regulations made in that behalf under the Military Service Act, 1016, on August 28, 1(116. Iu cases where no such personal schedules 'or enrolment cards have been furnished, the cards shall bo prepnred _br.the Government Statistician, and shall contain suchmaterial particulars with respect to tlie reservists as may be within the knowledge of the Statistician.
