ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS' SOCIETY

A meeting of members of the Wellington Accountant Students' Society was held last evening in the meeting hall, Accountants' Chambers, under the chairmanship of the president (Mr. Ernest W. Hunt, F.P.A., N.Z.). . ■ An interesting and instructive lecture was delivered by Mr. F. A. d'E. Barclay, FIA N.Z., on the subject of Lite Insurance Aocounts." By means of specimen forme and cards, Mr. Barclay gave a practical demonstration of the ingenious methods which have been adopted to keep an accurate record of the accounting and statistical particulars necessary in a well-ordered life insurance office. The president announced that at the next meeting of the moiety-Mr. Climmrnes, of the Land-and Income Jax DeZrtmlnt, would deliver a lecture on "The Finance Act, 1917.
