DAMAGES. \ Frederick T. Jfoore, motor lorry propi'ietor. proceeded agaliitt G. J. Ward, taxi-driver,-to recover £'' . for alleged I damage to a motor lorry, and f4 lor the loss of the use of the vehicle. The claim arose out of an accident that occurred on the road near Tβ Horo on Juno 4. Defendant, it was stated, was driving a motor-car to tho Otaki races, aiid the plaintiff's motor lorry was proceeding in tbe same direction. Near Te Hiiro the defendant's motor-car passed the motor lorry on the wrong side of the road, and in doing so the motor-oar, it was allaged, struck tho lorry, causing the wheels to lock and collido with a motor-car that yras passing the lorry on tho opposite side. Considerable evidence was called rn both sides, and the Magistrate gave judgment for 'plaintiff for tho amount claimed, with £4 4s. costs. Mr. A. 11. Hindmarph appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. P. H. , Putnam for the defendant.
