* BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING. The Miramar Borough Council met Itiet evening. There were present the Mayor (Mr. l< , . Townsend) ami Councillors M. Tracy, \V. H. Green, J. Pollock, and H. K. Robertshaw. "U , . R. Doughty was granted -permission to "built it boat-shed on the same site as a similar shed formerly occupied. J. P. Chrietonson, Worser Bay, asked the council to carry the kerb of the footpath some fifty feet further so as to reach hie property. He offered to give certain assistance in doing the work. It was decided to reply that Hie council could not at present seo its way to grant tho writer's request. , 1 , . Black, Marino Parade, complained of serious damage lo his property through the erosion of the sen at the head of tho two groins. Ho asked for certain impTovements to bo effected. Tho eounoil decided to do what it could to provont further erosion The District Health Oflieor wrolo Hiafc complaints received by him indicated that the present stylo of operations at tho borough's rubbish tip was causing a nuisance. The letter was merely received." as the council eoneidercd that no nuisance existed. ■
