PROHIBITION ORDERS
AN IMPORTANT JUDGMENT. By. Telegraph.—Press Association. New Plymouth, September C. An important judgment was delivered in the Supreme Court to-day, when it was decided that a prohibition order addressed to licensed peivo:-rs within any particular district is of no effect so far as regards licensed persons outside '•hat d'.striet. The effect rf Mr. Jutice Chapman's judgment is that whilst it is unlawful for a prohibited person to obtain liquor in outside districts, jt is quite lawful for a licensed person in such districts to supply him. even if he knows of- tho existence of the order.
