The Mayor said it -was a compliment to the city that it had got along during three years of war without increasing charges for services. Now the time Tiad como when tho increase proposed had to bo made. , Councillor MTtenzie mentioned that the increase concerned power only, and not domestic heating. The Mayct said coal and everything else had gone-up. If you even buy a rako or a spade, he added, you have to pny an increased price for it.
