The covers of the main hatches were washed off last niglit, and it is feared that tho perishablo cargo has been destroyed.
MAGISTERIAL INQUIRY. A magisterial inquiry will !>e held at GreynimiHi into the circumstances of the grounding of the steamer Oponri. The assessors have not yet been appointed, and no date hns been decided on.
