FROST AND SUNSHINE
Cold frosty nights and clear days seem to be the order of the lyeathor in Wellington at present. When the wind dropped on Monday night a white frost settled down ou the country districts and •higher levels of the city. This was followed by a bright sunshiny day, which tempted many people to jaunt abroad on one-day trips to suiany beaches and hillsides. The official forecast indicates strong ■ and variable winds, westerlies prevailing, and veering to increasing northe'rlies for another storm area which appears to be developing m tho Tasnmu Sea. The weather will be changeable, with increasing cloudiness, and a general rainfall following. A general fall in tho barometer is expected again soon.
