The Supremo Court has been occupied for two days hearing a case in which Elizabeth Ann Raddon sued Frederick Vivian Rockett for .£5Ol damages for breach of promise of marriage. the plaintiff was a widow and the defendant a draper. The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff for the full amount. The Judge reduced it by M in order to carry costs on the lower scale.
