PRESENTATION OF AWARDS
TO SOLDIERS' NEXT-OF-KIN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Oamaru, August 30. The Governor-General (tho Earl of Liverpool) paid a brief visit to-day, and presented awards made to Oamaru soldiers for bravery at the front. There was a good turn-out of Territorials, and a big gathering of the public. All the recipients being dead, there was no outburst of enthusiasm. The presentations to next-of-kin were as follows: —-Sergeant Donald Forrester Brown, Cross, to Mr. Robert Brown, father; Lieutenant Edward H. Kibblerwhite, Military Cross, to Mrs. Kibblewhite, wife; Private Alexander Kennedy, Russian Order of St, George, to Mr. D. Kennedy, father.
