Brown (Napier) lias given notice to ask tho Primo Minister whether he has noticed that the firm of Armour and Co., Australasia (Limited)— capital ,£20,000, 4000 shares at <£5 eaclilmd been registered on October 3, 101G, Mr. W. J- Cannery boing allotted 3!)!)8 shares, W. J". Kindlon one, and O. T. Alpers one. "Armour's have four freezing companies in New Zealand with a registered capital of .£20,000," adds Mr. Brown. "This company with comparatively such a small capital may be formed with a view of avoiding New Zealand taxation. It seems that the enormous transactions that are carried on by this company cannot bo done on a capita! of -£20,01)0. and thn Government should do something to brins in taxation to covor such concerns in somo different way than it does at preeont,"
