Trade to-day to discuss the prico of moat. It is understood the board will probably arrange a scalo of retail prices -with the butchoro, and the course previously suggested that tho butchers should secure supplies from the Imperial stores will not be adapted if an arrangement is arrived at. Tho board felt disinclined to radically disturb FJIO local conditions if it could l>o avoided. Tho master butchers will give a definite reply to the board on Thursday. BOARD REQUESTED TO VISIT OAMARU. Oamaru, August 27. ' Efforts (so far unsuccessful) are beinj made to prevail upon tho Board of Trade to visit Oamaru, and investigate tho high prices of meat in this district.
