Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., report harms leld their weekly stock sale, at the Millers Bead yards on August 17. The Wairaiapa, Farmers' Co-operativo Association, Limited, stock department report having .held their weekly sa-lo at Car-' t«rton, when they offered a Rood yarding of sheep,' cattle, and pigs. Competition Tves keen for sheep and cattle, but pics wero inclined to drag. Nevertheless wo' were successful in-disposing of the bulk of our yarding at the followine prices — ?j ? : F at and fonTard ewce, 325. 4d., 325. The New Zealand Farmers' Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report that an auction sale of tallow and sundries was held in Wellington on August 16. The market generally -was very flat a.s a direct result of lack of shipping facilities to Australia, tho result being that those lines which did change hands realised from 3s. to 4s per cwt. below the prices mlinc five weeks ago being disposed of to local buyers.
