REPARATION FOR U-BOAT ATROCITIES
BOYCOTT OF GERMAN SEAMEN

. A feature of tho Seamen's Conference was tho speeches of the foreign delsgates. Tho Scandinavians referred to Germany's future efforts to get Scandinavian seamen to refuse to work ships trading with Britain. Foreign delegates generally condemned Germany's ruthless campaign against seafarers. The conference earned a resolution, seconded by n. Danish delegate on behalf of the Scandinavian delegation, expressing sorrow and indignation at the crimes of German submarine commanders and crews.
Mr. Havelook Wilson stated that probably tho Seamen's Union would withdraw from the Transporters' Federation, 6onio of whose members were alleged to be -pro-Germans.
The conference aleo passed a resolution, on the motion of the Trench delegates, insisting on reparation for the inhuman submarine warfare, and that the conference would hold Austrian and German seafarers equally responsible with the authorities until reparation was made. A Scandinavian motion recommending seamen to withdraw from the International Transporters' Union was carried; nlso a motion pledging that seamen in the future shall not sail on a vessel carrying Austrians and Germans unless the submarine warfare has ceased. —Aus.N.Z.
