HARBOUR HOARD EMPLOYEES' MEETING. Mr. E. Rossiter presided at a meeting of tlie Wellington Harbour Board Permanent Employees' Association, held last ovening, to consider an amended agreement of service to replace one that has been in operation for'over thirty years. Much dissatisfaction was expressed at the entire absence of auy of the real terms under whicn the staff is engaged, and the lack of any satisfactory safeguard by way of a properly constituted Appeal Board against unfair dismissal or promotion. The following- resolution -was carried: "That this meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board Permanent Employees' Association consider that the amended agreement of service submitted by the board is not satisfactory to the employees." The Chatham Islands Fishing Co.'s steamer Himitangi arrived yesterday afternoon from the islands. She will le dispatched for Lyttelton on Tuesday. Repairs to the Invcrcargill will be completed to-day, and the vessel's departjre for Wanganui has been fixed for Monday evening. The Putiki. due at Wellington this morning from southern ports, will sail in the' evening for Picton and Wanganui, 'from -where the- vossel will probably sail for Westport. The TaTavera, due at Wellington this morning direct from Bumrlin. has 600 tons of cargo to put out at this port. She is to sail this evening for Picton to !c.ad for Auckland. . The collier Komata IoH last night for Westport to load for Wellington. She should arrive on Tuesday. Tho Kapiti is malting a special trip to TaraUoho to load cement for Wellington, nnii is dun here on Sunday. The steamer will sail for Wanganui on Tuesday. Thp auxiliary schooner Itiua is due it Wellinsrton to-dm- with a cargo of explosives from Auckland.
