KENT TERRACE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Kent 'terrace Presbyterian Church was held last evening, the Rev. Dr. ,T. Kennedy Elliott, 8.A., occupying the chair. Speaking to tho annua) report and balance-sheet, Mr. .T. Al'Lldowney congratulated the congregation on having a minister who had the respect and confidence of tho city and the lovo of his congregation. Ifo spoke, in glowing terms of the work of the women oi the congregation during these trying days. Mr. Robert Johnson drew attention lo the successful work amongst the children and the youth of 'the church.
"Dr. ,T. S. lilliott congratulated ll'r. .T. W. Jack, the treasurer, on his report, and said that if a church was to be judged by its finances then Kent Terraco had a splendid record. Over one-third of all the moneys received had been given to objects outside of the congregational needs. The of the church, the institutions under the control of the presbytery—Orphanage, Scots Collego, etc.—had been liberally supported, anil the needs of the men at the front had not been forgotten.
licferriiig to tlie Roll of Honour of tho Church, which contains over 10fl names, attention was drawn 'to the fact, that amongst those who had enlisted were six doctors and two Y.M.C.A. secretaries.
The meeting was of a very enthusiastic nature.
