Leonta and Sir Solo gave a good exhibition over five hurdles at a fast pace. , Marconi and Te'Oniia did a similar task., not bo fast. .Te Onga ran oil at one hurdle, otherwise it was a 6afe disnla.v. Kow. and Boclcnham went once round the steeplechase fences, jumping well. Arthur George jumped four hurdles emartly. ' • : ■ Miss Sation and Sir Fisher outpaced Don Francisco over three hurdles. Ma6ter Strowan, Paremata. and Taneihaere went once, round the fences, all jumping w<l. Art and Steperina jumped three hurdles well. Stone Ginger was better than Golden Butterfly over a round o£ the fences. Miss De Yal and Prince Delaware sprinted half a mile in 49scc. • , Powder King and Merry Lad' beat Kirk-' by over seven furlonus in ■ lmin. 35sec. Most, of the other horses did steady pacing.
