The executive of the Auckland Second Division League passed a resolution emphatically protesting against any attempt to lower the age limit' for military service, and will urge the central executive to use every effort to prevent the same. Dunedin, August 11. A mass meeting of citizens, over which the Mayor will preside, is to be held under the auspices of the National Welfttro Association on Monday night, to protest against the lowering of tho age of recruits to nineteen. Invercarglll, August 11. A special meeting of the executive of of the Second Division League, representing six thousand members in Southland, resolved to-day to protest emphatically against tho Government's intention to reduce the age for conscription to nineteen years.
