ANNUAL MEETING OF SHAKEHOLDERS. (B.t Telegraph-Special Com>spundtuD Masterton, August S. The annual meeting of shareholder:; or' the Wellington Fanners' Meat C'oiAnuny was held to-day. The chairman of directors, in referring to the report and bal-ance-sheet,' deiilt at length with the circumstances which had reduced Hie turnover for the year, lie pointed out that the company wns in an excellent position to dear with the turnover of the coming season. On the motion of Jlr. E. D. M'Kenzie the following resolution van carried:— "That this meeting reseilts in the strongest terms possible the action of the Government in closing the company's lellmongery business, which was an injustice to 'the settlers, the shareholders, and the townspeople." Some discussion took place iiipon the operations of the Jleat Trust,, but the chairman pointed out that it was undesirable at this stage to puss any resolution which would embarrass the Government. ' ~ Messrs. R. D. M'Kenzie and r.. .U. Lowes were elected to the directorate, the other candidate being Mr. G. Pain. Messrs. Badhnm and Biss and b. \Y. Sellar were elected auditors.
