ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY
The Wellington Acclimatisation Society met last evening- Mr. L. 0. H. Tripp presided. It was reported that the following allotment of yearling trout had been made:— Wairarapa, North, 850; Wairarapa South, 840; TSketahuna, 750; Palmerston North, 500; 'I'ahiatua. 100; Marten, 300; Levin, 750; Hunterville, 240; Taihape, 200; Pukutatahi, 500; Pabatitamii, 250; and Hull,
■150. Tlip curator reported he would have. 720,000 brown trout fry and 135,000 (rainbow trout, fry for in the Wellington district this coming season. Pheasant pens are to be established at Jlasterton. Arrangements are lining mado to accommodate about 16 stock birds and about 50 young birds.
