EXAMINATION RESULTS

The results of the Sunday School Scholars' Examination, held ou June 30 were made available yesterday. Of 581 scholars who comneted from 63 schools. 227 gained 75 mark 9 or over, thus securing: a prizo and first-class certificate, 182 earned oetween 59 and 75 marks, thus securing a second-class certificate; 130 earned 45 marks and under 60, which entitled them to a third-class certificate. Tho total number competing waß 44 moro than last year. In addition to the above j number, all the schools in Palmerston North and immediate neighbourhood haa large entries, but these scholars arc being examined locally,, the Palmerston union providing the. awards. The prizes and certificates won by city and suburban scholars will be x>rescnt*d by Mrs. w. P. Massey at a meeting to be held at an early date. The examiners were: Mesdames T. • H. Gill and A. It.
