WAR ANNIVERSARY
SATURDAY NEST. A patriotic meeting in connection with the third anniversary of tho proclamation of war by Great Britain against Germany aiKfjier allies has been convened by the Mayor (Mr. .T. P. Luke) for Saturday evening next (August 4) in the Town Hall. On that occasion the Mayor, who will preside, will move:— "That on this, the third anniversary of the declaration of a righteous war, this meeting of citizens records its inflexible determination to continue to ' a victorious end the struggle in maintonance of those ideals of liberty end justice which are the • common and sacred cause of the Allies." _ _ The spenkers will be the n-ime Minister (the lit. Hon. W. F. Massoy), Sir Joseph Ward, Sir James Allen Mr. K, A. Wright, M.P., and Councillor M. I. Luckie. ~,,., 1 A public meeting will be held in the Eastbourne Hall on Saturday evening to commemorate the • third aiinivc-snry of (he declaration of war with Germany, when a resolution will be put to the meeting. The MayoT of Eastbourne (Mr. P. Levi) and Sir John Findlny will address the meeting.
