The history of our new ally is now all the more interesting and there could be no more vivid presentation of a great period than is provided -by "The Birth of a Nation," the masterpiece of filmcraft made by D. W. Grilfith. the maker of the mighty, "Intolerance." The production in Wellington is lo bo invested with new fealurc? on the lines of the English showing at Drury Lane. A hugo orchestra has been working for weeks on the wonderful special musical score, and. vocal solos, quartets, and unique effects will also be provided. .Mr A. L. Grey, Mr. Griffith's brother, is .'in Wellington, and is arranging to conduct the presentation of thn film ?o fhat it will bo seen in Wellington under the exact conditions to every detail which made it such' a triumphant success at Drurv Lane Theatre, London. Iho season opens at the King's Theatre on Saturday next. The plan will bo open at tho Bristol on Thursday nest. -(By Arrangement.)
