POSITION IN NEW SOUTH WALES. Sydney, July 2". In the Legislative Assembly the Hon, G. S. Beeby (Minister for "Labour) said the unemployed position was not serious. The general "condition of the labour market was as good as before the war. Tlia constant stoppage of industries was tha result of pernicious influences. There was a scheme in operation in the coal industry which was deliberately aimed to prevent the State creating reserve stocks of coal. The Government was 'devising a system of payment by results which would protect the workmen.—Press Assn.
