VESSELS TO BE STANDARDISED. (Rec. July 28, 0.45 a.m.) Melbourne, July 27. Mr. W. >1. Hughes, Federal Prime Minister, in announcing his shipbuilding policy, said that all the preliminary steps had been taken to launch tho entorpriso immediately. Ho advised tho States to clear their slips in anticipation of the unions accepting tho Government, proposals. The ships would be standardised, and constructed by the States and .private firms under Federal control.—Press Assn.
