CONSCRIPTING WEALTH IN CANADA
SUPER-TAX ON LARGE INCOMES. Ottawa, July 26. The Minister for Finance (Sir William White) has introduced an incomc-tax measure, conscripting wealth. Exemption. is granted on .incomes of ffifll) earned l>y married men and .£4OO earned by single men.'' There is a sliding scalo super-tax ranging from 4 per cent, on small inoomes to 25 per cent.
