RECRUITING IN AUSTRALIA
AGITATION FOR CONSCRIPTION. Perth, July 27. Owing to tho slump in recruiting, various bodies are agitating for conscription. In tho Legislative Assembly, Mr. Thompson gave notice of motion, "That it is the wjsh of tho people of the State that tho Commonwealth Government should again submit to the people the question of conscription."—Press Assn.
