The monthly entertainment held on .Wednesday evening took tlio form of a plain and funcy-dress social and dunce. The social hall was crowded. The chief announced that the next function would be held in St. Peter's Schoolroom,', pending the acquisition by Hie foeiety of larger premises. As prizes wore awarded to those who were wearing dresses of the most original designs, the selection was determined by a ballot of nil present. j\s a result, Miss Maclellan as "Victory" secured premier position amongst the ladies, followed by Miss Grant as "llaori Girl" (a elosn second), while Miss Hnnliti took third plaee. Amongst the men, Jlr. Fry, as "Cowboy" secured first prize; Mr. Smith, as "Moneybags," coming second, while Mr. Royd as "Pat" and Master Ronald CainpM'l as "Spanish Dancer" tied for third place. A very pleasing feature of tlio evening wa.s the presentation of a gold bracelet to Miss Hanlin. who is about to leave Wellington to take up her residence in Auckland. This yonng lady will be much missed by the society.
