FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. The management committee of the Wellington Rugby Union met on Tuesday, Mr. D. Weir presiding. Mr. J. Robertson was elected a member ot tho committee, vice Mr. E. Carman, who has enlisted. . Mr. W. N. Jackson was appointed malinger of the local team to play Wairarapa at Carterton on Saturday next. Two third-grade players wero disqualified for two playing Saturdays for exchanging blows on the field when the Athletic v. Oriental game was iu progress. The home and home match between Auckland and Wellington will be played on August 10. Mr. E. Wylie presided at the.meeting of the Athletio Park Retention Committee. The reports of the sub-committee were read. It was decided to send a deputation to the Finance Committee of the City Council to ask for the full remission of tho. rates on the park for the duration of tho war and six months thereafter. The total amount of the subscriptions to tho Park Fund to date is £255 7s.
