Absolute prohibition is not the point nt issue, neither is it likely to be brought into / force, so it ax o'clock closing will cause men to drink in the duy when they should bo nt .work, do the next, best thing and keep tho hotels open till tho usual flour. Has it been, proved that by keeping tho hotels open the efficiency'of tho country has suffered? I think not. On' tho other hand it has bee" shown, that , the efficiency of the workers of <England j has- been, hindered by the drastic curtailment of liquor production, so /New.
