ANOTHER AIR RAID
HARWICH AGAIN ATTACKED London, July 22. Official.—A squadron of between fifteen and twenty-ona aeroplanes approached Felixstowo and Harwich at 8 o'clock this morning uiul dropped bombs. Heavy ■anti-aircraft fire caused the formation to split, part returning oversea and part proceeding southward over the Essex coast. The enemy machines were constantly engaged by gunfire, and proceeded Homeward without dropping more bombs. Our aeroplanes pursued the raiders out to sea, heavily engaging the rotreating aviators, but visibility was low and observation difficult. Bight poreons were tilled and twentyfive injured at Felhstowe and Harwich. —Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.-Reutor. I CASUALTIES LIGHT. (Rcc. July 23, 8.50 p'.m.) London, July 22. The Prese. Bureau states:—"The- easualtia i'rom the air raid were eleven killed and twenty-six -wounded. Tho dainngo done was insignificant. A flying corps patrol engaged the raiders when they wore returning to Belgium, and forced ono down into the sea."—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.-Reutor. AIR RAIDS ON LONDON SYSTEM OP PUBLIC WARNINGS. London, July 22. It has been officially decided to give nip raid warnings in London, by sound bombs fired from mortars placed at the fire stations.
