Messrs. Dalgety and Company report having oflercd a sood yarding of siieep and a iair entry of cattle at Levin on Tuesday. There wan a good demand for all olassea of sheen, and the whole yardins was sold under tiro hammer at prices satisfactory to vendors. 'Dalgety and Co., Ltd.. renort haviug hold a clearinK sale of dairy stock on behalf of Mr. Selwyn Simcoj. at Otaki ou Monday. The herd, though small, consisted of carefully' aelcoted cows, and in regard to Quality surpassed anything offered iu the- dlstriot for a long time. There wns a Rood attondance of local and outside buyers, and tho arrangements madefor the sale, together with the complete data avallablo for purchasers, was the suhjoct of general comment and appreciation. Accurate calving dates, records of monthly tcßts, weight of milk and butter-fat. together with caßh roturns, were given for each individual cow. and were of iuunenso value. The avcrago price for the cows was £14 65., the top price being £21, whilst the heifers avoraged £11.
