Shand, Royal Flying Corps, will have an interestnig narrative to relate at the "Talks on the War" in the small Town Hall to-morrow evening. Lieutenant Shand was- shot at a height o£ 15,000 feet, when ten miles across the Bulgarian lines. Captain P. HallThompson, C.M.G., R.N., another of the speakers, will say something of operations in the Persian Gulf and Mesopotamia. Thrilling stories of Gallipoli will also be told by Lieutenant-Colonel J. G. Hughes, C.M.G., D.5.0., Major \. Waite, D.5.0., N.Z.E., and Major C. E. Andrews, N.Z.S.C. Having also served in France, Major Andrews will refer to the work of our troops on that important front. Their Excellencies the GovernorGeneral and Countess of Liverpool will bg present. Proceeds are to go to the Ter-. race Red Cross Day.
