GERMAN INTRIGUE IN AMERICA
MONEY BEING SPENT LIKE WATER HUN TAINT IN I.W.W. TROUBLES New York, July 16. ' The United Press Agency at Washington learns that the State Department has been informed that millions of German gold are being used in propaganda work in the United States. It is stated that several newspapers have been subsidised, and it is also asserted that the propaganda is not absent in diplomatic circles. It is reported by the Kcw York "Sun's" Washington correspondent that tho Government is convinced that the I.W.W. agitation is, part of Germany's propaganda. The arrest of a, German, who was formerly an aide to Captain, von Papen in connection with the I.W.W. troubles is imminent—Aus.r2f.-sfc: Cable Assn. '
