MEETING 01' TILE UNION. Mr. D. Weir presided over last evening's meeting ot the Wellington Rugby Union. A letter was received from the Vvairarapa Kugby Union agreeing to play Wellington on July 26 at Carterton.—The Wellington Union agreed to the proposal. A letter from rlie Auckland Union Y>vo\Kisu\g to pUiy Wellington on August 11 ut Auckland was held over till next meeting. The meeting agreed to arrange a match between ¥eat))entoii and Trentham Cftuv-pa at AWlelie Votls. on i\\\y 28. W. Mardon and .1. W. Campbell, of the Selwyo Club, asked for a transfer to the Wellington Club,—The' meeting declined to accede to the request. . A meeting of the Athletic Park "Retention Scheme Committee was subsequently held. Dr. M'Evedy presided over a Sui'l attendance of delegates. The various committees reported, that the 10s. tickets were finding a ready sale, and that donations were coming in freely. The following donatious were acknowledged.— Mr. H. E.
