The Board of Agriculture last night met the representatives of the various Flock, Stud, and Herd Book authorities to consider the advisability of forming a national live stock record association. After the matter had been fully discussed it was agreed—i - "That in the opinion of the meeting there should bo not it-ore than one asfiociiition for' l each distinct breed of horses,- cattle, sheep or swine.'" "That, it would be advisable for the Board of Agriculture to send out notices to the various Breeders' Associations suggesting that they discuss the question of the establishment of a national live\ stock record association ;is tlie governing body of all the associations, at the next general meeting of thoir members." "That the meeting requests the Boa-d of Agriculture to ask (he Government to tako power to prohibit the exportation of inferior' sheep for stud or flock purposes."
