MEETING OF THE WELLINGTON BRANCH. The annual meeting of the Wellington ranch of the New Zealand Educational Institute was held last evening, Mr. E. H. Ballacbey, the president, being in tne Tho' presidcut said they had met for the third time under the shadow of the great war and as a mark of loyalty to King aud Emnire he would ask them before beginning the business of the meeting to ling tne National Authem, and then to stand iu silence for a few mcnients out of respect to tho memory ot those who had miide the supreme eaorifice in tne war. The suggestions of tho president nerc complied with. . . The annual' report, which dealt with several matters of interest to the pioiesslon, was adopted. Tho balance-sheet, which was also adopted, showed that the asots totalled £279, and tie liabilities
