-« SCHEMES FOE RAISING FTJKDS.

The members of the Athletic Park retention scheme committee met last evening: Mr. G. F. C. Campbell presided over a largo attendance. Mr. John Burns wrote stating that he had spoken with Mr. Marcus Murks, who had suggested that an .Midon-oar should be made as a means of raising funds that the members should secure 130 supporters of Rugby who would be willing i.o l-oy ,EIO each to' become life i.'iemnurs of the Wellington Kugby Union. The suggest ion was referred to the Wellington Uugky Union for their opinion.

Messrs. jNicbolls, Weir, and Donovan were appointed a sub-committee to form a committee at Pctone and lower to further the interests of the scheme.

A resolution was passed unanimously, "That the Athletic Park trustees be asked to act as trustees for the new fund"

Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.l'., is to be asked to deliver a lecture on the war in aid of the fund-

It was stated that several large subscriptions have been received by the secretary.
