WELLINGTON SYNOD

\ . YESTERDAY'S SITTING. The Wellington Diocesan Synod resumed its sittings at 1 p.m. yesterday, Bishop Sprott presiding. ■ On tho motion of Mr. W. J. Birch it was decided that synod go into committee for the further consideration of an Act to provide for tho establishment, maintenance and regulation of Church schools. Before going into committee. Bishop Sprott announced that n committee set up for the purpose had recommended the appointment of Mr. H. D. Vickery as diocesan auditor. Tho appointment was unanimously confirmed by synod.
