CANADA'S JUBILEE

REPLY TO MESSAGE SENT iiVT LORD LIVERPOOL. The Governor-General has received the following telegram in reply to a messago sent by His Excellency congratulating tho Canadian Government and people on the fiftieth anniversary of the Proclamation of the Dominion of Canada:— "[ have communicated to my Ministers Your Lordship's congratulations en behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand on the occasion of the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Confederation-of the Dominion of Canada. They desire me to assure Your Excellency that they received this message with an especial pleasure, and they are proud to associate tbemeelves with tho people of a Dominion which has so signally distinguished itself in support and defence of the Motherland, which claims at onco our allegiance and our love.—(Signed) Devonshire, GovernorGeneral of the Dominion of Canada."
