RUGBY UNION
MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. The committee of the Wellington Kugby Union met last evening, Dr. M'Evedy presiding. Two players were summoned for alleged foul play in the field, and were asked, to give au explanation of their conduct. One player was disqualified for four playing Saturdays, and another wa3 'cautioned for his threatening attitude, whilst a third inau was suspended until he appears before the committee. Kolburn Park ground was allotted to the Thirty-first Reinforcements for a game on Saturday next, when two camp teams will be the contestants.
It was'decided' to inform the Wairarapa Rugby Union that two matches between Wairarapa and Wellington could bo plnyed, one at Featherston and tho other at Wellington. An effort will be made to play ono match- between Auckland and Wellington, at Auckland, ana one at Wellington. Subscriptions to tEe Park Fund were* reported - " to bo coming in freely. .. The latest donations reported wero:—Staples and Co., Mr. ,T. P. Firth, JM 55.; Colonel Potter, £5 55.; Mr. Q. C. Tripe, £2 2s. (annual subscription); Corporal Cotter, iCG 65.; Major Mouncev, £1 Is.; Dr. Newman, .£21"; Dr. M*Evedy, £5 ss. Tho total for the week was about £Vii.
