TROOPS AND MACHINE-GUNS CALLED OUT

London, June 24. lhe Sinn at Cork, hoisted the Republican flag over the courthouse on Sunday, broke the windows of the recruiting offices, fend held a public meeting to denounce the Irish Convention. The Sinn Peiners attacked the Rooruiting Office. The relatives of men at tho front resented the outrage, and the police made baton charges. These were ineffectual, nnd the military, with machine-guns, were called out. The police were repeatedly stoned, and had' to act drastically. Shots were fired and one maa was killed and another wounded, besides a dozen cases of wounds-from bayonets. The disorders were quelled by midnight.—Reuter.
