Surely there is on the buildings enough roof surface. to catch; a large supply of water jt tanks -were used; enough, I should , imagine, for all purposes, aud it would be very simple fccj store water in large concrete tanks. Thq above would obviously be a much cheapelf process than conveying all the water—sol obvious that one can hardly credit thai! Sir James Allen really made ,tho stato-i ment attributed to him.
