Word has been received in Wellington from England stating that Lady William*, of "Pilland," Barnstaplo, A'ortli Devon, is eo delighted with what jS T e\v Zealand has done for tho Belgians that she has lent her house in Devonshire for a holiday home for our nurses for tho duration of the war. Miss AVilliams (of IVimley, Hastings) is in charge of tho home.
The late Mrs. .lames Jones, who died at Jiketaliuna last week, was a daughter of Mr. W. Hodder, who was well known ■ throujhoint the Wairarapa. Sho leaves one boh (Mr. L. W. Jones, of Maslerton) and three daughters (Mrs. AV. .A. Boyes, Waiwera, Mrs. G. IT. lie, and Miss A r era .Tones, Eketahunu).
