The fellow-workers of the late W. P. Fitzgerald have formed a working bee to remove the spoil from the fall which killed Mr. Fitzgerald last Saturday. Mr. Ward, builder, Eoseneath, will superintend and provide tools this afternoon. A BENEFIT CONCERT. Tho movement instituted by the Charley's Aunt Club, Orphans' Club, and Commercial Travellers' Club in Wellington to assist tho bereaved widow aud seven young children of the late Mr. W. P. Fitzgerald, the victim of the Koseneath fatality, is making- good progrees. Iho benefit concert to be held on Tuesday evening next in the Town Hall will lie under tho patronage' of the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke, C.M.G.), and Mayoress, who have signified their intention of being present. The programme, which is advertised elsewhere, is ono which should command itself to tho people of Wellington, and a bumper house is anticipated. An account has been opened at the Union Bank by the Mayor, with Messrs. W. E. Jackson and Len. Tingey <va trustees for the moneys collected. Tho various clubs and societies that are actively taking a part in the movement are advised that they may pay anjmouey they have collected into the fund through tho Mayor.
