OVERCOMMG THE ENEMY'S RESISTANCE RUSSIA NOT DONE WITH ANOTHER AIR RAID ZEPPELIN BROUGHT DOWN ITALIAN SUCCESSES IMMENSE STORES CAPTURED The British are mating continued progress in Southern Flanders, where they have now straightened their line cast of the Messines Ridge'and repulsed determined enemy counter-attacks on the newly-won positions. They have also gained a further section of the Hindenburg line northwest of Bullecourt. American correspondents who have carefully studied the Russian situation are said to have concluded that Russia is capable of "coming back," with tremendous blows that will astonish the world. The Italians have mastered another enemy stronghold in the Eastern Trentino. Tho Allies,are rapidly extending their occupation, of Greece, and are apparently not being resisted. Some serious shipping losses are reported, including that of "the Avenger, a fine modern steamer of 15,008 tons intended for the Vancouver-New Zealand service.
