NEW TRAMWAYS TIME-TABLE

SOME IMPORTANT ALTERATIONS,

Tho Tramways Department has issued a new time-table, and all those who depended on the information given in the old one as a regulator to their movements should secure tho new one, as several very important changes are noted therein. Up' to 8 p.m. the weekday services aro the same as have existed for the past six months or more, but after that hour the services to Island Bay, Lyall Bay, and Oriental' Bay have been reduced from a ten to a. fifteen-minutes one. The daytime service through Mount Victoria tunnel is as formerly, save- that from 8.15 p.m. on several of tho cars that formorlyran as far as tho Kilbirnie Post Office will now run only as far-as Hataitai. Tho late cars service lias been curtailed. The last car to travel the city via Courtenay Place now leaves Lambton Station at U.C p.m. Tho only cars to travorse the Courtenay Place routo after that hour, are a couple of cars from tho Brooklyn line, which turn back from tho Duke of Edinburgh Hotel corner (and that only because they are housed for the night at the Kilbirnio car shed), and tho midnight sixpenny express. Tho Sunday time-table has, as has been announced, been completely recast.. On tho Lyall Bay section tho Sunday eervice has been reduced from a ten to twelvejniimtes' one. A forty-minutes' service to Miramar is provided for Sunday afternoon, but there is no Miramar car between 4.6 p.m. and 5.26 p.m. from Lambton Station. 'Iho Saturday nnd • Sunday services to Seatoun have always been arranged according to the weather, but on tho present occasion tho tramway authorities have taken the public into their oonJideiioe and told them-so. On Saturdays (in fine weather) a twentyminutes' service will be maintained from ll.il a.m. until 11.1 p.m. otherwise a fortyininutes, service from 1.41 p.m. Tho Sunday afternoon service to Seatoun (in fine weather) will be 1.1 p.m., 1.41 p.m.. and every twenty minutes until 5.1 p.m., from then a forty-minutes', service.until fl.Jl p.m., otherwise a forty-minutes' servico from 1.1 until 0.11 p.m.

On tho Karori line several of tho cars wffich have hitherto run- through to tho Park will now only proceed as far as the Council -Chambers, maintaining a twenty-minutes' soivicc to that. point. Tno ordinary servico to tho Cemetery gates is being maintained.
