; RESISTLESS PRESSURE BY THE BRITISH - NEW GROUND GAINED A STIRRING SPEECH PRESIDENT WILSON ON HUN CRIMINALITY As a sequel to the' , enemy air-raid on London, a strong demand for reprisals hag been raised in England, but Mr. Bonar Law has declined meantime to answer questions' on the subject in the House of Commons. ■ An eloquent speech by President Wilson is reported. It embodies a. scathing exposure of the methods and aims of the German military party, and a declaration that America will spare no sacrifice in defeating these aims. The eriemy has been compelled lo evacuate a section of Tiis lino in Southern Flanders, and the British, are closely following his retreat. They have gained positions of some importance also in the area immediately north of the ATras-Cambrai Road. Thero is little news from other theatres, but further light is cast upon late developments in Greece.
