NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW
Entries aro now finally, closed, and tho figures show a considerable advance on last year, so the prospects for the show ore extremely bright. Football enthusiasts, who aro always so keen on tho famous Wauganui-To Auto Collego matches, should now note that play will commence approximately at 12.15 p.m. ou Wednesday, Juno 20. This is tho first'day of the show. Very fino entries have been recoived for hunters and pony competitions, and for tho newly-instituted dog trials. Some thirty of tho cleverest dogs in this Island are expected to compote, and all Friday, Juno 22, will bo devoted to this event, tho pony leaping being put forward to Thursday' afternoon, June 21. AH space has been booked up. and visitors aro assured of a very interesting time.
